Beauty of Japanese food culture

My friend has a small restaurant in country side of Gifu prefecture.


It took us an hour drive to get there, driving through mountains and we saw beautiful coloured leaves. It is one of my favorite time of Japan, Autumn.









They renovated 120 years old house and providing contempolary Japanese meals made by local organic foods. Every time I visit here, I feel like being "Home".

Little man looked comfortable crawling around the restaurant.



Chopstick rest is peanut which made me smile!


Entree.




Japanese parfait. Black sesami and vanilla icecream, cooked rice cake, and azuki beans. Yum!


Enjoyed talking to my friend who haven't see for a while though I felt time passed so slowly whilest I was there.
It was a great opportunity for me to relax and enjoy beautiful meal.
I also had great inspiration from this experience. Everything in the restaurant is so simple!
In the restaurant, there are only necessaryfurniture and minimal seasonal decoration. It may look bare, though every single thing in the room are good quality and well looked after.
This is one of the thing I have in my mind when I design my products.
